Materials and technological advances keep changing the face of everyfield everyday. Continuing education programmes provide us the opportunity to understand and keep ourselves abreast with these updates. Prosthodontics, as any other speciality has evolved too much in past few years. Denture making and fixed restorations are being practiced by every other dentist. In such a scenario, the need of the hour is to identify ourselves and to spread that identity as an specialist. Today’s prosthodontist is needed in many other circumstances, as he is an integral part of interdisciplinary teams dealing with cancer surgeries, implant placements and critically ill patients.
